59 delegates and 13 companions met in Da Nang, Vietnam on 11-14 August for the annual Morison KSi Asia Pacific Conference.

59 delegates attended the annual Morison KSi Asia Pacific Conference held at Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa on 11-14 August 2018. The conference was largely focused on the potential challenges facing the accountancy profession today and in the future in terms of human resources, cybersecurity as well as corporate communication.

The event was opened by Paul Wan, Chairman of Morison KSi Asia Pacific, who gave a regional progress report and a brief overview of the region’s objectives and priorities for the next year, and two host firms, KSi Viet Nam Auditing Company Limited and Viet & Co. Limited, who warmly welcomed the delegates to Vietnam.

The conference was addressed by a number of highprofile speakers, who shared their expertise on a number of topics, including talent management and strategic human resources planning (Chun Wee Chiew,ACCA), cybersecurity and data breach prevention (Benjamin Martins, Livingstone Consulting), and corporate communication skills and critical thinking skills (Roshini Ganesan, LOA Centre SG).

In addition to the professional sessions, the delegates and companions enjoyed a varied social programme that included a visit to Monkey Mountain, known for its gorgeous landscapes, Cam Thanh fishing village, and Hoi An ancient town,a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The participants also had a chance to sample some of the best Vietnamese food.
